Excellence?
The difference a year can make... wow. Has it really been that long? I guess it has... It's been a crazy year at that, but now, its not as much. Last year, at this time, I was furious, upset, crushed, and just basically confused because I didn't make StuCo. Now, I've made it, and I'm... content. A lot elated, but content. Optimistic and wondering how it will be missing many of the people that made StuCo so much fun Frosh year... It will be interesting. I'm a bit curious, but oh, the difference a year can make. StuCo 06-07

Oh, and 6 games in a ron is too much. We also have another double header on Monday... curses.
World War Two World War Two, The Second World War. The war a score after The War To End All Wars.
So, Germany was deep in depression With chaos all around. The people looked for a beacon in the darkness, But there was none to be found.
Then out of the misty shadows, A sole figure did arise. That man was Hitler, The lover of blond hair – blue eyes.
So, Germany was feeling crowded. They needed Lebensraum to expand. So, they began to look at Czechoslovakia, And annexed Sudetenland.
The other countries did not want war, So to this they did acquiesce. They signed the Munich Agreement, Which they thought was for the best.
Only Churchill did object to this, And this is what he quoted for: “Britain and France had to choose between war and dishonor. They chose dishonor. They will have war.”
Thus the beginnings of the war Were darkly, darkly at hand. Sneaky Germany had now allied With the countries of Italy and Japan.
Then they made a pact with the Soviets; A non-aggression pact. They would attack Poland as one And split the land they lacked.
“Hark!” cried France and Britain “That we do not like!” Thus they came to Poland’s aid, And began to flaunt their might.
Alas, they were not strong enough For Germany was like an Iron wall And France was thus invaded, And likewise fled Charles de Gaulle.
Germans marched, and the Germans fought But yet they still hungered for more land. So, they fired over the canal And the Battle of Britain began.
For months London took a pounding, And for months the Londoners cried. They knew not what to do, But fight back is what they tried.
They were out-numbered, and out-gunned, But definitely not out-witted. They all fought really hard, With many lives committed.
And Britain cried out for help But alas there was no possibility. Their one hope for help, America, Was enslaved in the chains of neutrality.
Then on one quiet Sunday morning, All of these things did change. The naval forces of Pearl Harbor Were attacked by enemies unexpected and strange.
The kamikazes of Japan Sent their planes crashing down And on December 7, 1941 War was declared by sundown.
The great America had now entered Into the infamous confrontation And it turned its attention toward Europe’s many bleeding nations
And so, The Allies now had More power at their aid, But they were still not yet strong enough And their armies were renegade.
Nevertheless, Germany was slowing, And its armies becoming worn. Hitler was going crazy, And his attitude becoming forlorn.
Hitler then decided to Betray the best ally he had. He sent his armies eastward And started the Battle of Stalingrad.
So, The Germans were feeling upbeat, But then in the snow they mired. Their plan to invade the east Thus then backfired.
Stalin did not like the advance So switch sides is what he did, And to America and Britain, An alliance he now bid.
Now Germany had itself a 2-front war And its forces were thus split. The Allies knew this and began to plot; Slow and deliberate.
Then, on one stormy day of June The planning came to a head. But by the end of the day, The beaches of Normandy were littered with dead
The allies began to fight inward And with plans of Europe to free They refused to halt their movements Until democracy was a guarantee.
Many battles then ensued With the Allies starting to win. They were wide and did range From the Bulge, all the way to Berlin.
Finally, the long, long war in Europe, Came to a dramatic conclusion. Ending with Hitler and Himmler’s suicides, And the surrender of Germany in confusion.
Yet, while Europe was in a tangle, America was fighting in two oceans. Its energies were divided And lost in the commotions.
Japan was attacking the Navy And battling in the Pacific. They were inflicting damage And killing quite horrific.
But then the US picked up speed And began to beat the Japanese. No longer did defeat spread Like an infectious disease.
Midway came and went. Then the Philippines were won And soon the battles of the Pacific Were almost over before begun
The Allies fought across the islands Ever inching toward Japan From Guam to Okinawa, To Iwo Jima’s raising of the flag.
Finally, the US decided they needed An ultimate weapon to deploy, And they would do so with Manhattan’s aid And with help of Fat Man and Little Boy.
The cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Went up in deadly atomic splendor, And soon enough, long awaited, breathe abated, The Empire of Japan did, at last, surrender.
Finally, after the long years of battle, The war had entirely come to an end, With untold millions wounded And at least 35 million dead.
Entire families were shattered, And countries would never be same. America ended up booming, But Europe went down the drain.
It would take time, But all places would mend. It would take ingenuity, more war, and patience, But it would happen in the end.
Overall, the war lasted six years And over a world it did span. From the valleys of Europe To the volcano’s of Japan.
From the beaches of Normandy, To the Soviet’s frigid cold, From Newspaper headlines To Men’s soul’s young and old.
WW2 is in the history books, Immortalized forevermore, As the war a score after The war to end all wars.

People are drfting. I don't really know who to trust. My friends are drifting away. Everyone is changing. Or is it that I am, or maybe they all are, but I'm not? Who knows... I just don't know anymore.

Happy Easter... and Spring Break! Enjoy! Tue, Apr. 4th, 2006, 08:30 pm
I'm uncertain... Things I thought were sure things have just lost there certainy. Things I thought I could count on 100%, aren't so... So, where does that leave me now? Lost? Confused? Upset? Dizzy? Try all of the above, and more. I don't know what to do anymore. Everything has changed.
YIG... oh YIG, I have just gotten home, but I already want to go back. I'm sick of this mundane life... Anyways... Wednesday: We left school at around 4:10. We were supposed to leave at 3:30, but Alex forgot his money/toothbrush, and we had to wait for his mom to drop it off. I drove in Carlin's car... I was the only one because none of the guys wanted to leave Clev's car because it had a TV. So, that was a bit weird. Then we had just started driving when all of a sudden, Clev turns into Farmer Jack. Carlin and I were wondering what was going on when he made another left out of Famrer Jack to go the same direction we were just going... Apparently, we had to signal Ryan's car to drive with us. By the time we got to Lansing, it was like 5:30ish. Everyone was wondering where we had been, since no one could get there rooms until Clev showed up. Then, a few of went and had Chinese... wasn't too terrible. Then I went to a meeting once back to the hotel, and learned exactly what a comittee chair was supposed to do. After that I had Genral Assembly, then my first ever Comittee meeting... oh it was horrible, but I coped. This one kid, T.J. knew more ParliPro than I did... got to bed late. Thursday: Breakfast at the hotel, then spent my day in Comittee meetings and Senate sessions. In the middle of the day I went to the Capital and met Senator Mike Bishop, then caught a shuttle back to the hotel. It was a fun day, I started to figure out how to use ParliPro. I met a bunch of nice people, such as Tommy, Bree, Cameron, TJ, Cody, Mac, Danielle, Peaches, Thomas, and Audrey. Ian Nowak was also in my comittee, so I wasn't too lonely. But, let me tell you, being a commitee chair is hard. I wanted to debate and argue bills, but I could not have an opinion and had to keep order... Well, anyways, dinner was interesting. Our whole delegation went to Apple Bee's but they forgot 4 of us, so we had to walk. By the time we got there, they had already ordered, but at least we had seats. Then, on the way back, I walked with Drew, Jeff, and John becasue the othere got rides. About half-way back we realized that we might be late for curkview, and we ran. Bad idea to run on a full stomach. Bad Idea... But it was an interesting day. MMMMMM...Yiggy! Friday: We got to go to the capital and hold commitee in the Farnum building. We had mike's and we discovered that there was panick buttons underneath . I went out to lunch with Ryan, Lauren, Ian, and Anthony. That was fun. Then, once back to the Farnum Bulding, we got to have session in a cool room with microphones again. That was interesting. We argued a bill for Physician Assisted Suicide for an hour! The whole place was ready to attack each other. I couldn't believe the emotion. Eventually, the aye's won, and the bill passed, but failed at the Governor's desk. One bill that passed all the way was one to legalize the sale and use of fireworks in MI. We all loved that bill. Then we went back to the hotel for more commitee's. We came across a bill that needed a bit of work, and these lobbyist seemed quite dedicated to it. Thus we decided to re-write the bill. I ended up doing it with two other people, Cameron and Tommy. Cameron reminds me much of Noah French, personality wise. It was uncanny. Tommy was nice, but slightly annoying. We went to Tommy's room to work on the bill, and Tommy asked me to the dance, so I said sure, why not. I'm not doing anything else. The bill took forever, and when I got back up to my room, I was tired. Went to bed late yet again. Saturday: My rewrote bill passed in comitee, but failed in House. I was sad, but not too much so.We got to go to the Capital, and actualy use the Senate chambers. They have nice chairs, but it was weird getting up to go to the podiums... Everyone was tired. We had more session back at the hotel, and finally we were done. The Governor's banquet went well. The food was good. Mr. Clevenger was the White commitee specialist, and gave out an ward for best Commitee chair, but I didn't win. Later when I saw himn in the elavator, he said he wanted to pick me, but that would of looked suspicious. Oh well. I went to the dance with Tommy, but neither of us wanted to dance, so we rounded up a few other people and watch the movie playing in another room. Sunday: We left, it was sad. I want to go back so bad. I never did get the sn's of a few people. I hope I see them next year. On the way home, I rode with Alex, and well we got pulled over by a cop for 'Improper lane-usage" No ticket, but did any of you know that it was illegal to drive in the left lane on a 2-lane highway unless passing. I never did. Well, there's more, but I can't possibly fit it all in. MMMMMMM....Yiggy
